The success of new programme and projects depend on the availability and strength of partnership between different organisations and the community. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the roles and functions of the organisations and agencies that can support the identified interventions to emerge as real opportunities.
Based on the potential starters identified using the information collected from the above formats, another round of interactions was held with
- the customers identified for these starters; and
- the various agencies who are critical for the success of these initiatives.
This includes understanding other support structures such as micro-finance services, credit availability and access; market demand and supply of goods and services, market network; knowledge-based institutions and other service providers and value addition possibilities.
For each of the potential starters identified so far, we developed and used the following schedule to collect information on the support and service network in detail. This exercise was carried out for as many potential starters as identified at the block and district level. Though it was critical to understand the nature of interventions by the different agencies, to the activity identified, an attempt was made to enumerate the following information to the extent possible.
